The BH Area Hospitality Association has unveiled a new short film as part of its Check In – Chill Out campaign, designed to showcase the very best of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
The video shines a spotlight on the area’s stunning coastline, award-winning beaches, bustling nightlife, rich heritage, and proud maritime traditions, celebrating the diversity and charm that make the south coast one of the UK’s most loved destinations.
Featuring vibrant scenes of local attractions, restaurants, cultural hotspots, and family-friendly experiences, the film captures the unique energy and spirit of the region, reminding visitors why it is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
Rosie Radwell, Chair of the BH Area Hospitality Association said: “The video helps to bring our campaign to life, reminding everyone of the joy of visiting this part of the world. Whether looking for relaxation, adventure, or simply a breath of sea air, East Dorset has it all. We want people to see the great things about visiting, whether that’s soaking up the atmosphere on our beaches, exploring our historic sites, or enjoying the fantastic hospitality our region is known for. We are really happy that people who live, work or travel here are following the campaign and joining us in celebrating the positives and sharing community pride. It's what Check In - Chill Out is all about.”
The tourism and hospitality sector is a vital part of the local economy and supports thousands of jobs across the region. Rosie added, "In general people are getting a bit fed up with negative media coverage and the talking down of our area. Of course, working in hospitality we have an interest, but Check In - Chill Out has a much wider scope. We want people to enjoy and celebrate where we live, and share some cheerfulness and positivity for a change. It also sends a message that we are welcoming and open to visitors any time of year."
The video is now live across the Check In – Chill Out social media channels and can be viewed on the local tourism websites:
